Carneros AVA Winery in the Napa Valley of California
Napa Valley & Sonoma Wine Tasting Tours
Back in 1967, when the “rebirth” of California’s wine country was just getting underway, young Pablo and Juanita Ceja migrated from a small Mexican village to California's Napa Valley. They quickly found jobs in vineyards picking grapes, working hard each day while dreaming of a better life for their children.
Today two of their sons, Pedro and Armando—along with their wives Amelia and Martha—co-own and manage highly-rated, 113-acre Ceja Vineyards. The Ceja family is dedicated to sustainable agriculture.
Ceja offers two separate wine-tasting experiences.
The small Carneros tasting room is open daily by appointment, giving you an opportunity to see the estate vineyards, beautiful gardens, and maybe try your hand on the Bocce Ball courts. Inside you’ll find an unusually hospitable atmosphere.
The second Ceja wine tasting option is in downtown Napa where no appointment is necessary.
Amelia Moran Ceja, the first Mexican-American woman to head a US winery, was named Woman of the Year in 2005 by the California Legislature for her contributions to the state’s wine industry.
Amenities: Wine Club, Bocce Ball courts, gardens
