Historic winery in Sonoma CA's Carneros region
Napa Valley & Sonoma Wine Tasting Tours
-------------------------------------------------
Reynaldo Robledo began working in the wine industry as a 16-year-old immigrant field laborer and ultimately owned his own vineyard management company.
In 1984 he and his wife Maria made their first investment in wine country land, and continued to seek out fine vineyard property. Today the family owns fourteen vineyards—about 300 acres—in Napa, Sonoma and Lake Counties. Much of the harvest is sold to other wineries, but the family also produces its own estate wine.
When Robledo Family Winery was established in 1997, Reynaldo became the first Mexican immigrant worker in the U. S. to establish his own winery.
On a visit to the Robledo Family Winery tasting room, you’ll most likely be offered wine by one of the family, since all the Robledo children work in the business. The small tasting room uses oak barrels in a decorative way, along with hand-carved furniture from Zamora in Michoacán, Mexico and old photos of the family. It’s a pleasant, low-key way to enjoy Robledo’s notable wines.

Fascinating Fact:
Reynaldo Robledo’s first job in the wine industry in 1968 was pruning vines; he earned $1.10 per hour.
