Grower’s Collective Tasting Room
Wine Tasting Room just off Sonoma Plaza
Napa Valley & Sonoma Wine Tasting Tours
The Grower’s Collective is a spinoff from the Napa-Sonoma Vineyard Group, a company that manages small, premium Carneros vineyards for others, utilizing cutting-edge viticulture research.
One day partners James (Jim) Walker and Eric K. Glunt—after many years in the business—decided to make a big leap: they would not only grow their own premium grapes, but make their own great wine. And so, combining their names, they created Eric K. James Vineyards.
Their ideally-situated 17-acre vineyard carries designations for three appellations (Carneros, Sonoma Valley, and Sonoma Mountain) and grows Chardonnay, Syrah, and Pinot Noir grapes. The company produces small-lot, hand-crafted, single-vineyard designated wines.
The Grower’s Collective Tasting Room is located in the Mercado, a Spanish-style courtyard-with-fountain entered from the east side of Sonoma Plaza.
The large, antique-filled tasting room is a bit tucked away and off that beaten path, which means that you’ll probably enjoy an intimate tasting experience.
Aside from its own Eric K. James wines, the Grower’s Collective features wines from Sonoma’s Fichtenberg Vineyards and the Syrahs of Wayne Fieldsa.
Amenities: Sonoma Plaza is home to a diversity of restaurants, shops, and historical sites
