Highway 12 Tasting Room
Wine Tasting Room on Sonoma Plaza
Napa Valley & Sonoma Wine Tasting Tours
Starting in the Sonoma County town of Sebastopol, Highway 12 meanders east for about 140 miles until merging with historic Highway 49 in Calaveras County. Along the way this legendary road passes through some of the state’s finest wine-growing regions: Carneros, Kenwood, Glen Ellen, Sonoma, and Napa, to name a few.
Michael Sebastiani and Paul Giusto, co-founders of Highway 12 Vineyards, focus on grapes grown along this legendary road at premier Sonoma Valley vineyards such as Sangiacomo Family Vineyards, Serres Ranch, and La Prenda Vineyards. Sourcing a wide number of varietals, Highway 12 Winery has won numerous gold medals.
The winery’s tasting room is on the southeast corner of Sonoma's plaza, half a block from the Franciscan Mission founded in 1825 (and now part of Sonoma State Historic Park).
The tasting room is a spacious, friendly spot—the kind of place where the savvy pourers behind the bar are happy to pass on tips about where to go and what to see while you’re in town. And tastings are that increasingly rare breed: complimentary.
A fourth generation member of the famed Sonoma wine family, co-founder and winemaker Michael Sebastiani has worked in the industry since the age of nine.
