 The world famous San Diego Zoo and San Diego Wild Animal Park are both fun for the whole family. You can easily spend all day at the Wild Animal Park watching exotic animals in natural settings.
 A week wouldn't really be enough time to see all of Balboa Park with its many museums featuring California history, art, automotive, aviation and natural history. Balboa Park is also home to historic San Diego Zoo.
 Miles of sand beach combined with amusement park rides like the giant dipper and the wave flow surf rider for when the ocean is not cooperating at Mission Beach and Belmont Park could be just the ticket. Especially if you've staked out a nearby beach vacation rental.
 SeaWorld San Diego focuses on entertainment and education with killer whale Shamu and friends prividing daily shows. Three generations of killer whales, Dolphin Discovery, sea lions, otters and walruses all compete for your attention along with Shark Encounter, acrobatic shows and more.
 There's Manatee Rescue, Flamingo Cove, Clydesdale Hamlet, Aquarium de la Mer, Garden of Discovery, Anheuser-Busch Hospitality Center and a Games and Entertainment Center as well as several places to eat and shop so you'll want to plan to spend a full day at SeaWorld San Diego.
 After a full day at a theme park finding your car in the parking lot and driving back to your hotel with tired kids can take some of the enjoyment out of the experience so you may want to consider a San Diego Tour that includes transportation to either the Wild Animal Park or Zoo along with admission tickets. Other options include a day trip to Disneyland/California Adventure in Anehiem, a day trip to Mexico, helicopter flight, harbor cruises including a brunch or dinner cruise or exploring the La Jolla Caves in kayaks.
 If you prefer to drive yourself a great way to afford more fun is with the Go San Diego Card.
