You'll have a great time on our popular Muir Woods & Sausalito tour which visits two of Northern California's most beautiful attractions — the famous redwood forest and a village with great views of San Francisco and the Bay that is a favorite home for artists.
Your adventure begins as we cross the Golden Gate Bridge with spectacular views of San Francisco and the Marin Headlands. We'll make a 10 minute photo stop before continuing north where we wind along picturesque California Highway 1 to world famous Muir Woods.
This 550-acre National Monument is home to Coastal Redwoods, some of the tallest and oldest trees in the world. Here you will be given a map and guide of the park showing various trails and self guided tour. There is also a small cafe, a bookstore and a gift shop. We spend around 1 1/4 hours in the woods.
Next you'll enjoy visiting Sausalito — a small Mediterranean-like village located at the foot of the Golden Gate Bridge in Marin County and home to some of the country's wealthiest citizens. Sausalito faces San Francisco and has incredible bay views, boutiques, art galleries and fabulous mansions.
As you can see in the pictures to the right, it's often sunny in Sausalito when the fog has blanketed San Francisco making it a favorite place to visit for both locals and tourists.
You'll spend around 45 minutes in Sausalito, allowing time to enjoy the bay views, shopping, art galleries and fabulous mansions.
From here there are two options :
1. Stay with the tour back to San Francisco
2. Enjoy more time in Sausalito and ride the ferry back ($7 extra)
You'll find a variety of restaurants in Sausalito. You might even decide to come back some evening for dinner while you enjoy watching the sun setting on San Francisco.
The Muir Woods and Sausalito tour departs from Fisherman's Wharf daily at 9:00am and lasts approximately 4 hours. It includes free pickup from most San Francisco hotels and entrance fee to Muir Woods National Monument.

Cancellation Policy
