Giant Coastal Redwoods
The most comprehensive Muir Woods Tour includes a visit to and Ferry/Bay Cruise from an amazing bay area town called Sausalito plus photo stops at Muir Beach and the Marin Headlands after crossing the Golden Gate Bridge.
Tour guides are not allowed in the park so that you can experience the peace and quiet of Muir Woods National Monument and some of the oldest and tallest living things on earth. Your guide will fill you in on the history and unique features of the park and redwoods on the way there.
 Take an easy walk on a level paved trail into the heart of the forest with trees 45 time taller than you. Your path follows Redwood Creek where you might spot river otters, great egrets or spotted owls.
 In addition to the photo stop at the Marin Headlands (great view of the Golden Gate Bridge, San Francisco and Alcatraz) on the way to Muir Woods, we make another photo stop at Muir Beach overlook before continuing on to Sausalito. Sausalito offers a ferry landing, small boutique shops, great places to eat and picturesque views of San Francisco.

Departure Point and Times
Muir Woods Shuttle tour starts at the Ferry Building on the Embarcadero at the end of Market Street. Advance reservations are required and frequently sell out (only 24 a day) so book early.
